You can find volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Help create a welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff.
Volunteers assist customers, answer general hospital inquiries, suggest gift and convenience items, arrange gift wrapping when appropriate, and coordinate in-hospital deliveries. Opportunities may also include assisting with receiving and organizing merchandise under the guidance of the Store Manager.
Bring comfort, kindness, and a smile to those who need it most.
Comfort Cart volunteers visit various hospital departments to offer complimentary treats and refreshments to patients and families who may be experiencing long waits or challenging circumstances. This scheduled program operates weekdays and provides meaningful opportunities for personal interaction and support.
Help maintain peaceful and healing outdoor environments.
Volunteers assist with the care of our gardens in Oncology, the Light Court, and Palliative Care areas. Duties may include watering, weeding, pruning, and general garden maintenance to ensure these spaces remain beautiful and welcoming for patients, families, and staff.
Volunteer applications are handled through Horizon Health. When applying, select that you are interested in volunteering with Brighten Group or the Brighten Group Gift Shop so Volunteer Services can direct your interest appropriately.
